Job Description Yale College Reunions are organized by the Yale Alumni Association and take place during two weekends in the Spring, May 23 - 26, 2019 and May 30 - June 2, 2019. Interviews will take place in late January / early February and work will begin after Spring Break. Head Clerks average 4 hours a week of administrative work at the Rose Alumni House. Will assist with the promotion, attendance building and registrations for all Yale College Reunions. Responsibilities will include processing reunion reservations for a particular reunion class as well as helping to build reunion attendance by direct outreach to the class you are assigned to. There is considerable contact with alumni, so good phone, email and writing skills are a must. After Commencement, Head Clerks work one or two 35+-hour weeks (depending on availability), train other student clerks, oversee reunion registrations, and greet and assist alumni. Benefits include competitive wages; 32 - 37 hours guarantee for each reunion weekend worked; subsidies for lunch & dinner at local eateries during reunions; and free post-term housing (for current on-campus residents only), from the end of exams to June 3, 2019.
Job Requirements Current Yale College student or Graduate and Professional student. Reunion Head Clerks will be required to attend several training sessions during the term. They will be compensated for their time in training. If you are hired as a Reunion Head Clerk, you must be available for the entire reunion weekend (Wednesday, 8:30 am - Sunday, 4 pm). You may not work another on campus job during Yale College Reunions (Catering, Custodial Services, Yale Phone Program, library or Head of College aide) during the work weeks that incorporate the reunion time period.
