Job Description The Jetz Lab and Map of Life are seeking motivated students to assist with a number of exciting projects in ecology and evolution. You will be a part of an initiative with wide-reaching impacts for global conservation and EEB research. This is a great opportunity for students looking for experience in ecology, evolution, GIS, and conservation. Students will be working with the Map of Life and post-docs in the Jetz lab. Responsibilities include digitizing plant and animal data into a large biodiversity database, and synthesizing information from scientific papers. Come develop important employable skills that you can use for a diverse array of careers!
Job Requirements The candidates should be proficient with computers and have excellent time management skills. Candidates should be familiar with ecological and evolutionary concepts and have taken a general ecology and/or evolution course. Students should be familiar with reading scientific publications. EEB majors and FES students are encouraged to apply. Experience in GIS and Microsoft Office is an asset.
