Job Description

Yale College Arts (YCA) hires student photographers to document undergraduate performances for its photo archive, a comprehensive collection of undergraduate production photos provided to students involved in theater, opera, dance, comedy, and music. These image collections are tagged to be searchable by date, venue, or event type in the YCA Flickr database. This position is open to Yale College Undergraduates. 

Duties include:

  1. Checking the Microsoft Teams Shifts app for available assignments.
  2. Contacting the event/show producer to confirm and coordinate appointments.
  3. Attending and photographing dress rehearsals and/or performances.
  4. Editing and selecting a collection of images to represent each project.
  5. Uploading and tagging final photo collection to Flickr site within two weeks of completing the photo shoot.
  6. Emailing the event/show producer a link to the Flickr collection once you have uploaded all images.
  7. Submitting time sheets in a timely manner, including what tasks were completed in the notes section of the timesheet.
     
Job Requirements

If student applying for the Production Photographer position does not own a camera and accompanying equipment, one may be loaned to them through Yale College Arts.

Priority will be given to applicants who are eligible for financial aid in the upcoming academic year.

Compensation $17.50/hour
Job Level CY25: Level III
Hours 2.0 to 19.0 hours per week
