Job Description

The Buttery is a student-run servery that provides late-night food options for the Franklin community. It’s a fast-paced, friendly space where students can grab a bite and hang out. We are looking for two dependable and motivated Student Managers to help lead our Buttery team and ensure smooth nightly operations.

As a Student Manager, you will play a key leadership role in maintaining a welcoming and efficient environment. This position is ideal for returning Buttery workers or students with experience in food service or supervisory roles who are ready to take on additional responsibility.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Buttery is staffed each night

  • Take inventory and order food supplies

  • Supervise and support Buttery staff to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and accurately

  • Assist in training new workers and reinforcing best practices for food prep, cleanliness, and customer service

  • Handle opening and/or closing procedures

  • Ensure the servery is clean, safe, and compliant with food safety standards

  • Communicate regularly with Head of College staff to provide feedback and updates

Job Requirements

Must be a FRANKLIN student. Prior experience working in the Buttery or other food service settings preferred. Prior experience with budgets and scheduling preferred but not required. Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a customer-service mindset

Compensation $16.50/hour
Job Level CY25: Level I
Hours 3.0 to 6.0 hours per week
