Job Description

Benjamin Franklin College is seeking energetic, reliable, and detail-oriented student aides to support college events throughout the academic year. Events Aides play a vital role in creating smooth, enjoyable experiences for guests by helping with event setup, breakdown, and general assistance during events. This role is ideal for students who enjoy being part of a team, are available during evenings and weekends, and are comfortable with physical tasks and guest-facing responsibilities. Most events take place in the Head of College House.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with event setup and breakdown, including moving tables, chairs, and supplies
  • Help maintain cleanliness and organization before, during, and after events
  • Greet and assist guests as needed throughout the event
  • Monitor event spaces to ensure they are clean and running smoothly
  • Follow instructions from staff regarding timing, logistics, and space management
Job Requirements

Must be a Benjamin Franklin College undergraduate student. Available to work evening and weekend shifts as needed, Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (e.g., setting up tables/chairs). Dependable, punctual, and professional. Comfortable interacting with guests and working as part of a team.

Compensation $16.50/hour
Job Level CY25: Level I
Hours 3.0 to 4.0 hours per week
