Job Description

The Poorvu Center for Teaching and Learning, in partnership with the Yale Center for Business and the Environment, has developed world-class online tools in leadership training to catalyze personal and professional development, impactful teams, and positive systems change.

Before you apply

We are recruiting a student assistant to complete our teaching team for Connected Leadership – an online, asynchronous course that provides world-class leadership training to learners of all backgrounds and experience levels, free of cost.

General Connected Leadership Information

For over 20 years, Yale lecturer Peter Boyd has advised, worked on, and led dynamic organizations focused on tackling system-level challenges. In January 2023, Peter launched Connected Leadership, an online version of his most popular and impactful leadership trainings, with the aim of inspiring and empowering a broad audience of curious leaders to maximize their abilities to create a positive impact in their lives and in the world.

Available on Coursera, enrollment in Connected Leadership is free and open to anyone. Learners take the course at their own pace but are encouraged to interact with one another through frequent peer-reviewed assignments and discussion boards. An official Certification of Completion is available for a small fee after the completion of all the course material but is not required for learners.

The course is designed to help learners:

- Improve their ability to get the most out of life: Learn a simple practice to reflect on their purpose, clarify priorities, visualize their potential, and maximize their effectiveness at progressing towards their goals.

- Strengthen their leadership toolkit: Tap into their unique leadership style and strengths and join or create a community of others to maximize their potential as a team.

- Create change through systems thinking: Become a more effective agent of positive change and appreciate the power and complexity of system thinking.
