Job Description

Description: Join the dynamic team behind Yale Hospitality's brands! This role focuses on all things marketing and communications. At Yale Hospitality, marketing and communication roles not only assist in ensuring things operate smoothly (communicating hours, events, etc.) but also ensure we continue to build employee pride and maintain excitement within the Yale student community. This role is an exciting opportunity for current Yale undergraduate students to gain professional, hands-on experience. Candidates should be generally interested in the world of food and eager to tell the Yale Hospitality story. 

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities 

  • Help develop and maintain content calendars – including planning out copy, image and video-based elements  

  • Oversee multi-channel campaigns  

  • Plan and help create marketing collateral such as brochures or components of website landing pages  

  • Develop or edit PowerPoint presentations for the brand 

  • Record, analyze, and report metrics, such as website traffic with the use of user-friendly tools 

  • Stay on top of trends in college dining, on social media, and in marketing in general  

  • Recap and share information about happenings around the Yale community and larger food/ hospitality landscape; engage in social listening 

  • Collect student insight to influence informational campaigns and more  

  • Leverage data to influence marketing priorities and support strategic planning  

  • Identify processes and tools to work smarter, more efficiently 

 

Job Requirements 

  • Ability to leverage audience data proactively  

  • Ability to work in Microsoft Excel charts, where distribution plans and metrics will be developed and tracked  

  • Able to effectively communicate Yale Hospitality pride to others in a professional manner 

  • Familiarity with social media  

  • Good attention to detail  

  • Writing skills, as copywriting and editing will be a part of the role 

  • An eye for capturing impactful images & video 

  • A candidate that enjoys project management is desired  

  • Ability to work in and share files via collaboration tools such as Google Drive and SharePoint
