The job is a wide range of tasks including, but not limited to, the following:

• Performing a variety of skilled animal care duties
  • Performing various procedures and skilled observation of animal conditions
  • Taking care of lab animals to help research work
  • Maintaining accurate records of animal breeding, health, and housing
  • Strictly following all procedures necessary to maintain animal housing areas
• Unpacking delivery boxes (reagents and supplies), sorting materials to their correct places, and notifying the lab members about their arrival
• Inventory management and ordering supply items
• Decontaminating work areas as designated
• Helping maintain, clean and organize the work area
• Using various laboratory computer systems for labeling
• Disposing of biohazardous and chemical waste and remove biohazard boxes to pick up stations
• Autoclaving, dishwashing, preparing of basic lab solutions, and other similar general laboratory maintenance tasks
• Following all PPE requirements
• Hours are flexible the job is at west campus will compensate for travel time
