Job Description
CBEY’s Moving the Needle Series looks at what sustainable fashion means and explores the connections and conversations happening among people working in fashion who want to see real change for the better...in materials, policy, workers' rights, entrepreneurship, and beyond. It also aims to help students see what potential careers exist in this field.
We do this by creating events and resources that serve to inform, connect and support students and others who are interested in this space want to learn more. 
 
The Role - We need you! 
The Coordinator will help coordinate conversations and events, as well as support resource production to support students and others in their journey to learn more about sustainable fashion. This will include, but is not limited to:
Brainstorming on people and events as part of this program
Working with CBEY staff to coordinate logistics for in-person events
Promoting the various MTN events on social networks and relevant platforms
Supporting our efforts to submit applications for grants
Possibly helping with the Discussion Group as needed
 
This is for you if…
 
You want to 1) learn more about sustainable fashion and 2) connect with professionals in the field;
You want to bring together student communities from the Yale School of Management and the Yale School of the Environment, Yale College (and beyond!); 
You have good organizational management skills;
You are comfortable acting as an event host/moderator;
If you are interested in sustainable fashion
Want to work with an interdisciplinary team trying to connect academic research on this topic with the public;
You like people…and it shows!
Job Requirements
Required skills include (but are not limited to):
 
This position is open to undergraduate, graduate or professional school students;
Must be a self-starter and independent worker;
Excellent research, organizational, interpersonal, writing and communication skills;
Must be punctual and responsible;
Strong interest in the business-environment interface.

Compensation $17.50/hour
Job Level CY25: Level III
Hours 5.0 to 10.0 hours per week
