Job Description
The Yale Center for British Art seeks student workers with Visitor Services. 
 
Reporting to the Head of Visitor Services, this position is responsible for welcoming and orienting visitors in person, as well as answering the telephone in a warm, friendly manner. They will ensure excellent customer service by providing information to visitors about the collections, current exhibitions, membership, Museum Shop merchandise, upcoming programs, parking, accessibility, and other visitor concerns. As one of the museum’s front-line ambassadors, they proactively engage with visitors and deliver a superior visitor experience. 
 
Students will work 7-15 hours a week, including some evening and weekend hours.
Job Requirements

Excellent oral and written communication skills and a high level of attention to detail are required. Interest in learning more about the museum’s exhibitions and collections is a plus, as is the ability to communicate with visitors in a second language in addition to English. Employment contingent upon successful completion of background check.

Compensation $16.50/hour
Job Level CY25: Level I
Hours 7.0 to 15.0 hours per week
