The Success Lab seeks to hire a student for a part-time position this summer with an interest in social environmental research, and non-profit impact and performance measurement. The Success Lab is a new collaborative learning-research hub based out of the Yale School of the Environment, led by Dr. Amity Doolittle. The Lab’s mission is to understand the role of environmental non-governmental organizations (ENGOs) in driving environmental and social change at community and local levels. Our work focuses on how to understand and communicate ENGO’s impact in the United States and the factors contributing to their success in driving positive social-environmental transformation. The research fellow's primary responsibilities include 1) Literature Review: Identify, analyze, and summarize the scientific literature on measurement approaches to capture non-governmental organizational impact and performance. The fellow will work in collaboration with the PI and Director to build on the ongoing literature review by the Success Lab. The fellow will lead the literature review of key themes including ecological impact measurement approaches. 2) Data management and communications: Support Success Lab data management of primary qualitative research data. Experience using data management tools such as Dedoose is a plus but not required. Communications include supporting the launch of our website. 3) Brownbag Lunch Series: Support monthly brownbag lunch series (3 over the summer) on key topics related to Success Lab research. Brown Bag Lunches will gather (and provide an opportunity to network with) leading scholars and faculty in a variety of fields. The research fellow will have the opportunity to lead one brownbag lunch talk based on their summer research and personal interests in alignment with Success Lab goals. The Summer research fellow will be supervised by Dr. Amity Doolittle and collaborate closely with Program Director Liz Felker and Success Lab Research Fellow Shayna Moss. The lab will meet weekly virtually. |
