The student will participate in an NSF-funded Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program and conduct their own independent research exploring specific aspects of aquatic insect ecology. This hands-on experience will involve fieldwork, data collection, and analysis, providing valuable insights into freshwater ecosystems. They will also have the opportunity to collaborate with a graduate student on a project focused on aquatic insect emergence.
