This research assistant will help primary investigator research the following questions:
- How are “wellness” programs funded and how might “nature therapy” services build on that experience?- How are healing gardens in hospitals funded and how might activities in nearby outdoor/natural areas build on that experience?- How are the costs of “park prescription” programs being covered in the different locations where they are being offered?- Are there any savings in the cost of care for patients in nature therapy programs that could be predictably “monetized” by health care providers? Student will explore and write up examples of health systems paying for these and other types of nature therapy programs/activities to share with other providers.
