Job Description

Yale University Press seeks assistant-level support for content marketing and video production. Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, this position will be an opportunity for a student interested in publishing, social media content creation, video production, as well as topics spanning economics, current events, history, and environment. 

 

The Video Production Assistant will: 

  • Develop content for a variety of social media formats, benchmarking standards across the industry
  • Assist in expanding video content on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube
  • Follow projects through storyboarding, script writing, editing, and dissemination
  • Pick up on video trends to create pithy, short form content in Abode Suite, Canva, and Procreate
  • Acquire video editing and photographic techniques through online and in-person training sessions
  • Perform other duties related to the creation of promotions, as needed
Job Requirements

High degree of skill with Procreate and Adobe Suite—Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and AfterEffects. Interest in TikTok and Instagram trends. Versatile communication skills, ability to create compelling, short copy for web and media captions. Love of books and reading. Inter-disciplinary interests.

Compensation $17.00/hour
