The Ezenwa Lab in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Yale University is hiring a Research Technician. Our lab studies the ecology of infectious diseases in animal populations, and we are seeking a highly motivated individual to contribute to a project using metabarcoding to study nematode parasite communities in wild hosts. The selected candidate will perform parasite DNA extraction and sequencing protocols, troubleshoot technical problems related to sample processing, conduct initial QC analysis on metabarcoding datasets, and contribute to routine laboratory management (e.g., reagent preparation, ordering supplies, supervising undergraduate lab assistants, etc). This is a full-time position (19 hours/wk) with a one-year appointment. Review of applications will begin August 31, 2025, and the position will remain open until filled. |
