Yale College Web & IT Operations is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented student to join our team as an IT Associate. This position provides hands-on experience with IT operations and offers the opportunity to support a wide range of technical and administrative tasks that directly impact Yale College programs and services. In addition to IT support, there may be opportunities to lead or co-lead training sessions and workshops for staff on emerging AI tools. The Student IT Associate will assist professional IT staff in supporting Yale College technology needs. Typical assignments include: Programming and configuring scanners, point-of-sale (POS) devices, and other hardware. Assisting with the setup, testing, and deployment of IT equipment across departments. Taking and maintaining accurate inventory of IT equipment and devices. Managing the lending process for IT devices, including checkout, tracking, and returns. Coordinating and delivering devices and equipment to Yale College departments and staff. Collecting invoices and preparing documentation for processing. Providing general IT support and troubleshooting assistance as needed. Leading or assisting with training sessions and workshops for staff on AI tools and related technology. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Comfort with technology, including the ability to learn new systems and equipment quickly. Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and customer service skills. Reliability, punctuality, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
