The Office of The Secretary and Vice President of University Life is seeking a motivated and dependable Student Events Assistant to support the planning and execution of major University events for the academic year such as Veterans Day, the MLK Commemoration, and Commencement. This role will also provide administrative and communications support to the events team. The Student Events Assistant will work closely with the assistant director of university events and communications and the program coordinator, gaining valuable hands-on experience in event planning, project coordination, and campus communications. - Assist with the coordination and logistics of campus events, including on-site support.
- Support event promotion by distributing posters, managing on-campus deliveries, and assisting with communications and outreach.
- Provide day-of-event support, including setup, wayfinding, guest assistance, and other logistical needs.
- Assist with preparing and reviewing communications materials related to events.
- Work collaboratively with staff and student team members to ensure smooth execution of events and projects.
