Job Description

Seeking Yale School of Public Health Graduate Student

The candidate will train to be a research team member and participate in data analysis for several multifaceted research projects related to emergency medicine, health services research, and health policy. A particular focus of the efforts will be directed towards the growing geriatric population, including persons living with dementia and their caregivers. Dr. Cameron Gettel will be responsible for training on the job.

 

 

 

 

 

Job Requirements

•  Clean and construct datasets for analyses and assist with statistical analysis ideally using 
   SAS, R, or Python statistical software.
•  Assist with analysis of lab-owned datasets assessing topics such as ED visits, out-of-pocket 
   expenses, ED clinician level outcomes, etc.
•  Assist in the preparation and submission of manuscripts, presentations, and proposals by 
   providing and presenting statistical information as tables, charts, or graphs.
•  Prepare and present reports for presentation or submittal to sponsoring agent, Principal 
   Investigators, and staff.

Enthusiastic, self-motivated and reliable

•  Interest in computer science and healthcare/emergency medicine research
•  Ideally exposure to statistical software (R, Stata, SAS) and experience with large dataset 
   analyses and/or regression modeling techniques

Compensation $17.50/hour
Job Level CY25: Level III
Hours 5.0 to 15.0 hours per week
